We (myself , my husband and 11 yr old son) came here as permanent residents a couple of days ago and are looking for a 1 bedroom apartment (within $ 700 to $ 750 per month). We would like a place that has Indians residing, good schools , close to public transit access & is a safe neighbourhood.Please give suggestions. The apartment listings that we have seen on the internet are all quite expensive. We would like to move into the apartment within a week's time. Thanks very much.

for $700-750 you might get a basement, for 1 BR min will be 1000 in GTA

Islington and Kiplilng are good for Public transit. Both TTC and Mississauga Transit are accessible. Apartments near Mabelle ave Etobicoke, Dixie/Bloor Mississauga and Sq one Mississauga have lot of Indians. I don't know much about Brampton.
