I am a Canadian,living in Southern California(sunny) for 8 years. Due to health issues,thinking of moving back to Canada. Can anyone siggeste healthcare pros and cons in BC and Ontario ?
BTW I did live in Windsor,(and Toronto)Ontario before California.

Welcome back ..
If you prefer less snow and more warmer weather in the nights due to your health issues ....Vancouver will get the vote. It is more closer to California weather than Toronto. However, if you want more activity / multi-cultural community people around, less boring place ... than it is TORONTO.

I salute you for that.
Please browse through Helath Ontario and Health BC for the facilities offered and compare.
There might be a 3 month waiting period before your free Govt. healthcare kicks in.
Febpreeth of CD will be assisting you shortly.

Ha Haa.. I did not understand what is "OP". Also there is no intention to exploit the free healthcare. I had the health issues even when I moved from Ontario to California. After moving to Canada, I would still be able to use my US insurance even while in canada.
Reading through Health Ontario/Health BC will take days and also seems complex. I was looking for practical experience/feedback from someone who has used both province's healthcare.

I am holding OHIP insurance card since April 2012 and never used it as I was moving in and out of Canada/India/Saudi but now I am planning to move to Saskatechwan to join my son who is working there, Can anybody advise me how to change my insurance plan from Ontario to Saskatechwan or do I have to apply a new one in Saskatechwan? Appreciate your suggestions. Thanks
