Has any one had a experience with exchanging their California Driving License for a Ontario Driving License.
What is the procedure?
Is it a simple exchange at the counter of Service Ontario ?
Thank you very much for your time in advance.

It is a simple process.
Just visit your nearest MTO with proof of residence and they will answer your questions.
However, if you do want to gain any discount in your insurance in Canada based on your US car license, you should get proof of insurance and no claim from your previous US insurers in order to be considered in Canada.

-- Is your CA license issued more than 2 years ago? If no, you might want to exchange it after 2 years to get the FULL (unrestricted) Ontario DL.

I was able to exchange the CA license for a ON G License. it was a smooth process at the Drive Test Center in Oakville. (one of the things that helped me also was that previously I had a ON Driving License. )
For my wife the current CA license was only 2 years old, but luckily she had her old expired CA license which had 3 years validity and hence she too got a G License in ON.
