Dr. Raghuram Rajan will be the youngest and probably the longest serving RBI Governor. He gave his inaugural speech today.
The media and corporate lost no time in hailing the speech with phrases like "Blockbuster", "century on debut", century in the first session" etc. etc.
In a country where millions and crores of people would not know the name of our Prime Minister or President, they will definitely not know about our new RBI Chief or his role in pulling the economy from the abyss.
The new RBI Governor should be wary of the corporate and keep them at arms length and work on what is good for the poor and the middle class who will form more than 75% of the population. From MMS experience during the last 9 years, Even if he does a 1000 good things for the rich, if he is not going along with them on a single issue like the Food Security, they will start abusing him.

this is probably equivalent to the same like Manmohan Singh joining Govt as finance minister in 1991
Hope he will not crumbled under the political and corporate pressure like our educated and learned M M Singh and able to stand straight like T N Seshan. Only time will prove.

India has become a client state of the globalist banksters and cannot make independent decisions anymore. This capitulation by design began in early nineties with the appointment of our main man Sardar, a frontman for the globalists.

Raghuram Rajan is a former employee of the Goldman Sachs, just like Larry Summers, Mark Carney etc.
Real realignment of the world is coming from Russia and China. Although dependent on western trade, they have the potential to act independently as their own power centers. I would venture out and say that even Iran is more independent minded than a slavish, educated Indian mind.
Anglo-Saxon countries are even worse than India, but the citizenry in these countries are slowly waking up.
English speaking middle class Indians should stay safely satisfied as slumdog lap puppies with a few crumbs thrown in their way, along with guilt trips in the news media with the caste, rapes and slum narratives.
The media and the economists make it appear as if the problems facing the country requires rocket science and can be solved by great pundits. In reality, it is a question of common sense, honesty and also a sense of moral values. Any 8th std. fail fail housewife from the villages, who manages her own household expenses will only laugh at the way our own specialists have been running the country during the past decade. All she lacks is a bit of English knowledge which the pundits employ to escape the blame from their misdeeds.
