Qualifying property and services are described in Guide 80 - Ontario First Nations Point-of-Sale Exemptions. To receive the exemption, the Status Indian must present their "Certificate of Indian Status" identity card at the time of making a purchase.

I made a visit to the Sioux Indian Reserve and bought a Bamboo Flute and on my way I picked up a bunch of chicken feathers and made a nice head gear and practiced INKAKIKE and I was perfect in my chant. Then I visited them back to claim my Indian Status. The Elders there asked me what do you know about Sioux Indians ? I told them about them and also played the wooden flute with my head gear.
