Hi,
I recently got a job in calgary, the salary is pretty good and I am thinking of moving there. My intentions are to buy a property for around 350K-400K and I have following requirements:
a) Good school.
b) Educated Indian community
c) Close to transit, I understand Calgary has good transit connectivity.
d) Indian grocers / sweetshops within 3-4 km
e) Indian music classes
Please advice.

a) Good school. Depends on the grade. Generally NW part is considered to have some good schools from Elementary to High school.
b) Educated Indian community: All over. Majority of Indian community is in NE part. Check Saddleridge and nearby areas.
c) Close to transit, I understand Calgary has good transit connectivity. Transit covers NE, NW and SW areas.
d) Indian grocers / sweetshops within 3-4 km: Majority of Indian shops are in NE. There may be one or two in other areas.
e) Indian music classes. Depending on which Indian type, south, north etc. There are some in variuos communities but the options are limited.

You option of getting all the 5 in one location is challenging and you may need to prioritize what is important to you. With your budgt of 300-400k, NE or SW may be a better option for you. Hope this is useful.
