Dear Friends
Can any one help me the process to follow
My friend parked his Car for almost 2 yrs(no insurance..no Etest)
I am planning to transfer to me and use it.
How to take that car to Emission Test and Safety ?

Contact any garage who do Safety and Emission test. They will provide you their workshop plates/dealers plates and you can drive on those plates or someone from workshop will take the car to their place to conduct Safety + Emission. You have to get the insurance and also get the sale document from current owner. Get the vehicle permit part signed from the current owner. Once you get all documents, take the paper work to Service Ontario/MTO office to get the plates.

Here is an alternative option:
1. Get insurance
2. Go to ServiceOntario and buy plates. Ask them for a 10 day permit.
3. You can drive for 10 days on that permit. Get your Drive Clean Test and Safety Test done.
4. Once you get the test done, take the results to ServiceOntario and get your sticker

You can get the safety done for sure. But it is on behalf of your friend who is selling the car.
Also get the vehicle HISTORY from the M.O.T. Look for buying and selling a used car in ONTARIO. (UVIP) The seller should provide you this. Cost $20.
