Hi,
I too am exploring the options available for a job search. I think there is no concept of telephonic interview for a sales job and that rules out any possibility of finding a job.
What people like you and me can do is research on the marketing job market and share the information.
Hi guys,
I am also in the marketing field and agree with Hammer, even sitting in Canada it is hard to find jobs. But on the other hand need to know, it is not impossible, and once you crack in it is very easy to roll smoothly. But need to make sure you show your abilities and positive attitude.
Hey hammer, may i know what kind of marketing job you are doing?
Take care guys and good luck!!
Hey indianguy...I have not been able to find a well paying job in marketing yet. The reason being ..I started off with a customer service job with a prominent loyalty program (basically a coallition marketing program and one of the leaders in CRM initiatives in Canada)
I then moved on to do training/back up analysis within 6 months...now I don't feel like getting into a marketing job and take cut in my salary, or attached benefits.
Also, I feel a lot of marketing jobs are through placement consultants, which I personnaly don't prefer. I am planning to target internal opportunities within my company....let us see what happens.
If you have a good job in India...stay back. Coming to Canada and finding a decent job is more of a pipe dream man. You will be extremely lucky if you find one. But I know you will come here nevertheless, and so here's wishing you all the best!!

You have just applied so dont worry now. I am sure your case will take at least 24 months and things really change in 24 months. I would say have fun in india mean while. Yes definately you can do your job search from india but no one will consider unless you have definate time period of arrival.
