Is it possible to create a United India, comprising India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka? Pakistan and Sri Lanka were created 60 years ago by Britons and Bangladesh was created 26 years ago by India. There was no Pakistan before 1947 and similarly there was no Bangladesh 1971. India has been spending 60 percent of the revenue towards defense every year since 1947 and similarly Pakistan too. Between India and Pakistan there are always tension and other countries keeping the tension alive? Foreign Residents and local residents of four countries can come forward to create a United India. When United Kingdom, United States, United Arab Emirates are possible why not United India.

Can you tell me during which period of history did we have a country called "India"...... Before 1947 we had "British India"why included areas like Burma, Ceylon, parts of middle east ..... including parts of Iraq !!!!!!

It could be very early for a single country, but at least if they start something like EU; single currency, without border control free business than it will be a very big market. Border control budget can be transfer for develop those country, may one express highway from Afghanistan to Malaysia passing all those country.

Let us first unite all the people located in the various states of India and have a common language (The question being should it be English or Hindi?) Unification of nearby countries mentioned is not going to happen due to religion (Islam and Hinduism differences) at any time.
Coming to my first point, I would like to see a India where a tamil can live and work (without any hassles) in the north and let the north indian come and live in the south.
As a Tamilian, I faced too much difficulty (esp. in language and culture) when I stayed for 6 months in Ahmedabad. I did it b'cos I had a gujju with me. I could never imagine to live in A'bad alone b'cos no one there knows English. Most of the Gujju's were more broad minded than Tamils but due to language problem I suffered there. Similarly I know my classmates who went to Mumbai and Delhi for 6 month and suffered. Also within our present India we do have minor conflicts between Hindu's and Muslims (e.g. Godhra), and betwen Christians and Hindus (e.g. Conversions, Stain family massacare). Let us first unite ourselves before we throw the idea on neighbouring countries.

Abolish religion. then you have a chance at union.
WHy stop at India though? Why dont we all become one world? we are all human beings ..
