Wi-Fi issue after update on Samsung S4 phone

Also uninstall McAfee Security from your phone.

The most logical reason is that McAfee is creating a conflict with your office security thing....



Hi irock,

yes it looks like kit-kat version -4.4.2 when i hit 5 to 6 times on version button to check which version i am using it came with letter "K".

i checked in my complete app folder but i could not find McAfee app icon at all.

in security folder - Device Manager it shows two Icon

1. KNOX
2. Android Device Manager

when i change my security level from High to Normal it automatically set to again on High level only...

any suggestion please?

Two things you can try downloading at home where Wifi is working:
1. WiFi Manager. Try connecting at your office via WiFi manager.
2. Dolphin browser. In Advanced Settings in Dolphin is ability to change user agent. Change it to iPhone or Desktop to see if you are able to connect and browse the net.

No luck, it shows saved network but no internet connection... I talked to my IT director and he told me that it is issue with some Samsung security function in the phone....my colleague has a Samsung 3, Samsung Mega, Iphone no issue at all..

Samsung 4, Note 3 has a same issue...strange?

if nothing has worked give it a hardware reset....by taking off the battery.

Make sure the phone is on & don't turn it off when removing the battery. Sometimes hardware reset works better than a software reset.

if it doesn't work may be time to follow AshwiniG's advice :-}

You will have to search forums at androidcentral.com or xda-developers.com. You may find a fix (or totally brick your phone if you do something wrong!).

less than a one year and now time for a new phone, what a mess after firmware update on the phone...

If the phone is less than one year than it is still in warranty. Please go to your service provider and they will send it for repair without costs. May give you a loaner phone that you may not like but the phone would get fixed.
