Dear Proudindian,
The genaral feeling one gets from your post is that you are not happy in canada and believe at the moment that you were happier in India.
In my opinion, you should sit down and think about this for a few days. Take the advise offered, but don't take any hasty decisions.
All the best !!
Ayaskant.

Success
To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded. Bessie Stanley

Mr. Desi,
Regarding success in Canada....There is no hard and fast rule for success...Some people succeed, some do not....
Highly educated people....some have succeeded and some failed....same way skilled workers.....
It all depends on your suitability and adpatability......
Ground rule is that..you be there where you are successful......whether in India or Canada or wherever.....
What you need is happiness and prosperity in life....If you get that in Canada be there. If you get that in India go there....
LIke you had mentioned you have better offer from India....if that is better than doing a labor job in Canada...leave Canada.
I have seen some people.. they are fascinated by Canada that they will do anything to be there....irrespective of their qualification, they will do any job to be there......if you are able to do that..then you decide for yourselves......
May be you are not destined to be in Canada....thats fate..if you beleive in fate you will understand the realities of life.....
At least you tried.....success and failures are part of life.......
Deep
You win some...loose some...everything is not justified in this world.......

U win some...lose some...everything is not justified in this world.
hi everybody
its nice to hear such posttive stories..I NEED IT....am still deciding whether to leave india and come to canada or just stay right here...i hope i make the right move
for proud indian i will only say that dont hurry....pray to god and god will show you the way soon.....believe me i am doing that too right now on the other side of the globe....
Forget in this "God will show you the way.." crap!! God doesn't show ways to anybody. You have to find your own way. Do what you think is best for you. Another thing I fail to understand is why does everyone seem to think that India is not a place worth living anymore? Why does everyone seem to believe that Canada is "the" place for children to grow up?? Maybe India is lacking in infrastructure facilities and has poverty, but that does not make it a place absolutely unworthy of living! If you have a decent job in India, I think it is absolutely fine to live there with your friends and family rather in this godforsaken land with frigid temperatures for 8 months in a year!

Couple of things which I would like to clarify with respect to my original post:
1) I have never advocated / expressed an opinion / or have attempted to compare life in India with the life in Canada or in concluding that life here is better than life there or vice-versa. The article was written on the premise that the reader has decided that life in Canada is 'more' worthwhile, and, wishes to stay here (after expending considerable time, effort and money in the process). What the article contained was a couple of tips that helped me get out of the rather ubiquitous 'immigrant woes'. I have written this with the honest belief that it would help others.
2) About God showing a way: Belief in god and believing that he does what is best for you, ... well, it was an immense source of strength for me. If others have a different view, they are entitled to their respective opinions, as long as they respect the opinions of 'the' others.
I think you should go by your gut feelings. If you feel that Canada has not been able to fulfil your expectations despite giving your best shot, go ahead and make the move. However, do think about your decision carefully. Whatever you decide, there will always be a part of you that will think what would have happened if I had decided the other way.
Also, why should Canada be good or work for everyone? I don't think it is one size fits all. There is always the possibility that you may do better elsewhere. After all, Canada plays a very small role in the world economy. One can always argue that there are more opportunities outside Canada than in Canada.
I am sure whatever you decide will eventually work in your favour.
