Dear Friends,
I am a PR but not interested in taking citizenship / passport for myself and my kids. Would my kids having just PR status be treated as international students and charged abundantly compared to students with Canadian passports at the time of uni studies. In other words can it be a big disadvantage of not getting the citizenship ! Please share
Its all about residency. Even if the kid is a canadian, but not a resident, It will affect.
Any one with differing opinion.

PR kids will not be treated as international students in Canada. Their tuition fee will be same as any citizen kid. Residency will have to be proved every 5 years or as per rule of regime.
thanks san, thats what i wanted to know. Actually one of my friends had suggested me for prolonged stay so as to get the citizenship. He thinks that being a citizen student, you dont pay much whereas being a PR you will have to pay more just like international students.
