Hi,

We had a sad experience last weekend .. Were visiting Scarborough - after some research short listed Lin Garden & Frederiks.

Entered Lin Garden .. could not bear the over existent smell of non veg --- thought if it would be difficult to sit , may be more difficult to sit and eat.

Went to Frederiks ... Appeared to be better in ambience but the same experience ... could not bear the non veg smell .

Both restaurants had lots of patrons so they must be good.

I recall experiencing the same @ Faleys @ Rexdale.

We frequent Wangs in Mississauga and have had not similar problems ...perhaps maybe because their kitchen is a little off located .

Wondering if there are recommendations for vegetarian friendly restaurants which do not have this over smell of NV ...

Was reading the other 2 threads from 07 & 08 on CD and some other places that people suggested were ..

and the like ..... Any recommendations ?

Lin Garden is good for take-out not sit in especially if you're a veggie. I live round the corner from there and have always done take-out from there.

Another good place is Hakka Legend. They have a few branches. The previous owners of Tangerine (2 brothers split). One of them got some sites and bought some others and renamed it Hakka Legend. I've been to the one on Ellesmere & Markham and it was decent.

While traveling on Airport Derry area , I have come across a 'Wok with U' or 'Asian Wok n Roll' , many a times - has any one tried this ?

Based on my last weekend's experience , I would be timid to walk in to a Hakka place w/o recommendations .
