I have helped others in India with similar services. BUT you must have some one there to take care of your interests and represent you there initially. The service has to be an ON-GOING one, so be prepared to do a SELECTION process and also get GOOD references from those they served.

Just google for those services in Kanpur.
Now a days, there are caregivers being assigned.
8 hours a day may set you back by Rs. 8000 or less a month. More professional is around 15K a month.

You can also negotiate with them to cook also for additional 2 or 3 K a month (food included for the caregiver).

If you are looking for a professional caregiver (and not by agency) you can also contact the Red Cross in your area,
