Hi,
I have been in Canada for 5 years and I am a permanent resident. I have been employed for past three years and doing financially well. I want to invite my sister to visit me. My concern is that my sister recently got divorced and is not employed in India. I just want to know if this situation will create any hurdle for her in getting visiting visa. I hear a lot about that person should have enough ties back in India so that one won't over stay his/her visa.
Thanks
do not hide anything, just state the facts(only what is asked for)...it all depends on the immigration officer...all the best
It is always preferable to show ties with backhome to avoid visa rejections.
However, visitor visa is purely game of luck.
If you sister is divorced and not employed then chances of getting visitor visa is very less, again, I am not saying it is impossible to get visa.
Good Luck
