Q1 However unsure if gold needs to be declared even if within $ 10 k limit ?
Q2 can just wear jewellery n not declare ?
Q3 says exempt form duty n tax upto $ 800 as away more than 7 days, so good idea to declare coins and then they will be exempt ?

It is BEST policy to declare everything that you bring in. ( No Meats or Contrabands.)

NO AAshu, You MUST declare all of what you are bringing into Canada, especially when it is Gold Coins and jewelry etc., But they are ALLOWED up to a sum of $10,000 CAD worth in cash and kind.

So, no need to fear. There you are 100% correct. Your information that you have collected is also correct. If they wear the RING and the CHAIN etc., and it becomes part of their daily used ornaments, then, they can bring that in too. If it is not excessive and shows as too many items on their body, then it will pass their examination. Also, your declaration of the total value in CAD is well under the $10,000. So, you are O.K. with it.

Just to cover yourself, Print and make a Copy for yourself. In that you write, two COINS and a CHAIN and a RING to be given as Gifts. Total Value $6,000 or whatever it actually costs them. Keep it separate in a place with other papers on you.

In their Arrival CARD, (Declaration) Gifts jewelry worth $ so and so., and also any cash that they have on hand., A total of $s, whatever the total is.

Don't know about anything brought to here but when I went to visit India, I had a quarter kilo in coins and nobody gave a damn. I think they will whack upto about 10% of value if you put 'em on the table.
