hi folks,
i am planning to immigrate to canada .i am a qualified marine engineer(merchant navy).presently i sailing on ships as a chief engineer. what i would like to know is that how do we engineers get our qualifications acredited in canada.(by the way i have experience of 8 years and am well settled at management level.)how r the exams related to our indian system.how much salary can one expect as an engineer in canada.is it worth immigrating to this place i have heard that gettinggood jobs incanada is difficult.i would really appreciate if any one of u or some one u know of who is in same field(especially marine engineer) could anwer my queries.

First requirements are a good command of the langiuage, reading writing and comprehension. Having one out of three is a good start. You will need all the three out of three, then some.
If you ask anyone, they will tell you to stay there in INDIA. Also see if there is any need for qualified people there who studied in this field. Studying in USA for this degree will not get you employment there, because they only employ US Citizens. Not Indians.
