Hi All,
It is sad but true, that the y2k & 2k1 cases are yet to finish. As a matter of fact as per the present trend the 2k1 for interviews will be called from next year onwards. That means the 2k2 will start(IA) from this year end..ie, any time now or should have started for the early 2k2 applicants, if CIC is honouring its' word of 42 months for an IA. Rest all those getting a call for interview are surely getting it at 62 months ie 5+ years.
If any 2k1 says they have been called for interview, then it is a welcome sign, as things are speeding up.
So going per the present trends 2k2 for waiver should be finalised next year ie 48+ months and those for interview should get it in 2k7, ie. 62+ months.R est of the years can calculate from there onwards, and any one person/consultant saying it is taking less than 4+ years at present is LYING. I am a 2k2 July applicant, nothing so far. With waiting all will come to realise how the time frames given on the official sites are true, they may post pone the dates, but usually never prepone. So we have to be prepared for the long wait.
Since applying I have been hearing of 1999,y2k and 2k1 cases being fnalised. Since last year the 19999 cases have gone of the screen, but others are still there. You can imagine the huge backlog. Even I was told by my consultant that the case will be over in 1.5 years max, no one told of the real picture, otherwise I would have been mentally prepared for the long wait. I request all newer ones to shed false illusions and brace up for a long wait as given in the official time lines. That means anywhere 4+ to 5+ years to get aPR. As someone had said we are investing in our childrens future. The wait is very worth it, as majority of persons have said.
Failures are every where, they will complain against anything. We know we are in some difficulty here so we have decided to leave. Difficulty can be anything from money to mosquitoes. Our quality of life index is at 127 position compared to number one of Canada. How can one advocate that we enjoy our stay here? A person who is struggling in such odd conditions here(I am not talking of money, but every thing else that stinks here), will certainly not mind fighting odds there.
So keep reading articles and threads of success people for they will show you the path to succeed. How can a failure show you the way? That person would certainle demoralise others. Just as a depressed person finds fault with every thing under the sun..
Thank you for sparing your time.

Hi Infocan,
Thanks for those threads. Well, couldn't understand, one thread says that many ppl of 2002 got PR in 2004 while the other thread gives the info. that 2002 applications are still not processed. I also read there that there were some "lucky" applicants of 2002 who got through.
If this info. is true then, we 2004 applicants have a long way to go (2-3 years from now min).
I have just started a yahoogroup so that we can exchange our info. on mail easily. Anybody who wants can join in http://groups.yahoo.com/group/CHCDEL/

Guys even I have heard that alongwith the backlog cases CIC also picks up some recent applications which may or may not be in the QC exchange. And thats probably the reason why some new cases are also being processed.
What if we r able to get the HRDC approved job offer ? How much faster wud the file be processed ?
BTW, Infocan have u visited punjabiagro.com - its crap.
Thats it from me people..... wud somebody respond on the job offer part please...
Thanks everybody
HDRC approved letter can only be obtained if ur skill set is unique , plus u get oppurtunity to speak with emplyer in canada( tele interview or more practically , make visist to canada n visitor visa).
I guess once u get HDRC letter, cases get processedin 5-6 month time. This is just my hunch based on some of 2002 applicants getting visa on this basis, as spoken on message boards
People now days should safely assume, 5 years time is for normal cases now days.

vicky bhaji,
Even I am from chd. It seems the whole city wants to move in Canada. Through I worked in MNC in gurgaon.
On your processing times. I wish you best of luck. May god gave you strength to wait as we are waiting. Hopefully the processing time might go down. Though it is another matter in country of 1 billion+, People keep on applying more and more.
On job prospects, Frankly speaking, they may not be so good. But keep trying, u will get some cool jobs. Certainly of some teller. Need not raise your expectation too high. That should help.
More value addition on jobs prospects can be done either by applying through internet or some desi living in Canada can tell .( Through they cry loudly of frustration in other threats)

Hi Vicky,
Teachers r in demand I presume but only if u teach Maths and Science. Obviously they may not be too keen to hire an English teacher who happens to be new landed immigrant from Asia (remember as per them we r not supposed to be good in English accent and grammar !!). Moreover I believe thats a regulated profession but still there's no harm in trying. Has she given her IELTS ? That wud give her some idea where she stands.
Good luck...
