I am working in the University and I have received my landing papers.
I have some queries anybody might have faced the same situation.
How to depart from the University?
If I apply for lean then they will ask for the appointment letter.
but I don't have any job appointment letter.
Second I may ask for leave without pay but now a days it is stopped.
Thirdly I may run away without telling anything to my University.
Fourth, I will land in canada, findout the job and send the appointment letter through fax.
......... and so on..
Please guide me the most suitable option adapted by somebody. I would be obliged to you.
Thanks
Atharv
Whatever u do, dont go for the third option. That's the worst u can do. See if you can get leave thru vacation etc. A friend of mine used to teach in Delhi and he resigned from the job. In his case he had a job waiting from him in Ottawa.
Many go for third option ! That is not good though! You should have good relationship with your company/work whereever you go, and I am sure giving the reason of migrating to Canada should be enough for them in understanding the situation.

Hi Atharv,
Firstly, let me ask you, how do you expect an answer from Canadian desis for a totally local question? This question is related to your job and your university (whose name you have not mentioned), and has nothing to do with Canada directly. What do we sitting in Canada know anything about your job in the university? How would we know what is allowed and what is good or bad and how one should approach the subject. How would we know what problem would you have if you chose any of the options you have outlined?
Secondly, as a personal advise I would say the same what Garvo has written. NEVER, NEVER run away from your job - even in the worst of the circumstances. If you HAVE to leave, always inform them officially. They can't drag you to the office and make you work if you do not wish to. However, if you spoil your realtionship, they can always make NEVER work again in the same place or even at some related places.

Select Third Option and come here and within 4 months decide about stay in Canada. Send resignation letter by mail if u want to stay longer here.
I also believe in good relation with employer but if you have no choice then think about you and your future instead of employer.
