I have booked my tickets for 1 Oct. 2004. But I am not getting reservation in the guest house where my other friends have booked.

Anybody who can suggest how to get reservation of accomodation near 7025 Tomken Road, Missisauga, Ontario?
Accomodation for two adult and two children 7 to 8 year old.
Please it is urgent.

If I postponed or cancel my 4 tickets then 3000 per head will be charged.

Please suggest the accomodations available near to this above said area.

Can you please tell me that How did your Friend(s) Book the Guest House...and what charges did they pay for what facilities.
Secondly, did they book the guest housefrom India or you took the help of our CD friends...or you simply searched thru a web site....If it is so, please give the website name.

Hi,

The address 7025 Tomken Road. That is an industrial area and there is no residential accommodation in the vicinity. The nearest would be Malton or Brampton. I guess the their Guest Houses are in Brampton.

You can find some links in Canadiandesi.ca to websites offering accommodation. Alternatively, you can opt for basement accommodation that would turn out to be cheaper and convenient for you.

My friends have booked their services one month towards 1260 USD$ for two adult and two children i.e. family accomodation on sharing basis from INDIA since it is only for their clients. I could not get on 1 Oct. but will get from 11 Oct. 2004.

What to do?
Can I book basement near this address for one month sitting in India?

Hi Atharv,

I also came through them and stayed in their Guest House. You are lucky that canadiandesi is available now to guide you.

When I came 4 years ago, the Guest House was two times more expensive than comparable accommodation and very dirty. The best bet for you is the basement accommodation close to public transit as you may have to go to the their office for 'coaching' etc.

The basement meeting your needs may cost you about Cd$800 per month. And apartment may cost you about Cd$1000 per month. Fortunately, now-a-days both types are available in plenty.

Today when I go out I would jot down phone numbers of landlords offering accommodation. Then you can contact them and finalize the deal.

Another point to note. I booked their airport pick up van for $50 but later on I came to know that taxi fare to the Guest House was only $10-15 with luggage. Be careful how you spend your hard-earned money.
