Anyone flying to India end of December> ANy deals available> One agent is offering me Tor - JFK - BOm on LAN / Air India. However I have to take bags at JFK and go to check in counter again for Air India. I have 3 hrs at JFK. Is this feasible? Also price for this is $1500. Is this a good price?

Any agent can claim any fare as a good deal.
About a month or two closer to your travel date you can determine what is or isn't a good deal.
For example, right now, you can book for Sep departure from Toronto to Bombay on Etihad Airlines (via Abu Dhabi) for $1,059.
Flying to Delhi is significantly cheaper for Sep ($790) on American Airlines (via Chicago and Brussels).
There is another thread on CD right now from someone traveling from Windsor where I quoted that deal.
If you have fairly fixed travel windows and want to play safe, then just shop around and book the best fare you are able to find.
A quick search on travel sites for your travel dates indicate that the agent's price is not bad.
The best I am seeing online is in the $1,500 range as well.
If you want "deals", then you have to wait until 1 - 2 months before your planned travel date.

I think it is a good deal. I bought tickets Jet Airways - toronto-brussels-bombay-ahmedabad $1700/adult. I booked a month ago.. i should have waited..
