Hi ,

Anyone know apart from Federal tax and QC state tax what are the other items that are deducted from your net income and how much as a percentage.
For eg. in the US a medicare tax ad Social security tax is mandatorily taken out of every pay check.
Let us assume that I am not doing any tax saving plans.

Also if there is any website which I can look up to calculate m taxable income from my net income.

Thanks
Sincerely,
Sri

In my paycheck apart from Federal tax and QC state tax following items also deducted
Employee Insuarance(I still don't know why this is deducted!)
QPP(Pension Plan)
Taxable Benefit(I'd to pay the tax portion for the health insuarance that company is providing for me)

Percentage wise from my gross salary 38% get deducted

Hope this will give you a rough idea

EI (Employment Insurance) is for a situation when u loose your job. Due to disability/lay offs or long term medical condition. The EI will pay you about 55% of your salary for upto 10 months.
