Being sarcastic? Expats here are either unaware of the laws or doesn’t utilise it. I’ve been to here for around 9yrs. For me the cops are very friendly and I don’t find much faults with the law system. (I admit trade unions are not allowed)

You could have informed the police or at least write a letter to gulfnews daily. If any agency is asking even a single buck for registration/serviec we can straight away assume that that particular agency is not dependable. I don’t know wht is your profession. If you were searching for jobs during that long span of 4 yrs. most probably UAE must be short of that type of jobs.

No, I never kept the receipts (why should I have?). Paying this money (registration fees) is and was never an issue for me anyway.....and I was never jobless in the UAE even for a single day.

i didn’t tell north america is inferior to UAE or vice versa. both are unique in its own way.

I didnt say that either. In fact I am a big fan of working in the Middle East when it comes to tax free dollars.
From my observation, Middle east is best for earnings, and Canada for a life.
