hi

wondering how to start a calgary job search. http://www.jobry.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK only had one job in alberta so i dont know.

i need a directory of engineering companies who employ chemical engineers.

and other info such as salaries etc

Hi rp_0999

I guess you have recently moved to Calgary from Ontario. Are there others in the forum who have done the same?

How would you compare Ontario (Toronto) and Calgary in terms of cost of living, transportation, employment opportunities and quality of life?

I may be moving to Calgary and some of my research indicates that there are a number of opprtunities there. If I move, it would be job related so I would like to know some additional details if possible:
Cost of temporary furnished accomodation
Availability of such accomodation
Cost of utilities and insurance (car) as compared to Toronto
Nice neghbourhoods to look for a home
Average length of cold weather (approximate)

hey i have just recently come to Calgary from Toronto and i liked this city too much compare to another cities. Yes, cost of living of Calgary is cheaper and good opportunities for job too.

I am from Edmonton and I hate cold.
Everybody says welcome to Sunny Alberta but there is no power in Sun.
Six months cold. Only good months are May,June,July,August and back in to cold.
Jobs are plenty in engineering filed and join Indo Canadian Engineers Association in Edmonton.

Calgary is not preferred by whites .. so they let us get jobs there .. this is same logic as they allow people to come to canada as they need more people.
Of course .. calgary got my friend a good job.. He is aged 52!
Again it depends on personal choice .. what is GOOD JOB.. GOOD LIFE... GOOD WIFE!... or .. HUBBY!

think about these point seriouly brfore deciding

Calgary is not preferred by whites...? So why is more than 80% of the population white?
