I noticed that the south asians ask alot of questions when they meet you (which I dont mind.... like what visa are u on, when did u apply, who all is with you, what is your exact qualification etc) as I see it as being friendly. But what I find a bit uncomfortable that part of getting to know you is always asking whats your religion caste etc. I recently met a guy from (a state in india) who said the whole of india is becoming very conscious of religion except (name of his home state- which i dont want to say here) and incidently his next question was by the way whats your caste?

Some canadians ask the irritating question of whats your age? i like to leave them guessing.... Both groups have their pet topics I suppose! I guess to take a quote from somewhere on this website...live with it and love it
