Having Problem while Installing win98 or win xp

Hi, I have 2 problem a) while installing WIN98 b) while installing WINXP, after formatting the disk.
a) After formatting and starting installing win 98 i get this message " SETUP FOUND A COMPRESSED VOLUME OR A DISK CACHE UTILITY ON YOUR COMPUTER. QUIT SETUP AND CHECK YOUR COMPRESSED VOLUME WITH YOUR DISK COMPRESSION SOFTWARE OR REMOVE DISK-CACHE-UTILITY. THEN RUN SETUP AGAIN. OR ELSE PRESS ESC TO CONTINUE INSTALLING.

B) When i start installing Winxp from Dos Prompt, the installation starts copying files and suddenly stops.

This problem i have seen in 3 different computers.

Please any Hardware Technician or any one who have the knowledge about this plz help me.
