Can I rent an apartment in Vancouver for a month.... or it has to be min 6 months or more.
Can the apartment be rented from any date of the month or it has to be from 1st of the month only?
What are the likely rents for decent one-room apartments.

If u r planning indian aress..
u can check out fraser st, main st, richmond and surrey.
DOwntown is going to expensive with rent starting from 800-1,000 for a 1 room apt..
I pay 500 for 1 bd room ...it is a basement..normally rent ranges from 500-800 for a 1 room apt..
Also depends if u coming alone or with family..
if Alone u can try to bargain...

u can check out the local newspaper sites ..they have ads for rent.

in desi and asian areas people post thier ads in local desi shops and on traffic light poles..
They don't give ads in paper.
Normally people rent from the 1st of month..u can rent an apt in downtown..but depends upon a lease...
if u have a lease for 6 months.. u have to keep it for 6 months..
if u leave before 6 months...u lose ur deposit.
where I stay..right now ..there is no lease.. i can leave it any time i want but i do have to give 1 month prior notice

likely rents..like i said...around 600-800..depends where u actually want to live...I paid 1025 for my downtowan apt..a month..which was decent to my needs..and am paying 500 for my apt on Fraser which is also decent..

I saw very few from Vancouver. May be this site is not that popular there.

I think many people coming here to van..students and immigrants..find it hard when looking for place..Downtown is always full..and its really hard to get a place in downtown that u can afford...


i feel the reason behind this would be a lack of awarness of this site...
