I have read a number of success stories on this site which have encouraged me to go on so far. But right now I am seriously thinking of giving up looking for a job here!! I wanted to settle down in Canada and that is the reason why I immigrated in the first place! I have a BSc. Degree in Electrical Engineering from a Canadian University and have been actively looking for a job in my field for the last 1 1/2 years. I have sent out numerous resumes and have met with many employers and recruiters. I cannot even apply for PEng certification because I am a graduate with no experience!! So all this money and student loan that I have spent on a Canadian degree is not really helping me! Those who tell you that you cannot get a job here because you do not have a Canadian Degree or to get further education here, this is not the case. I am married and have one child. Like many of my friends, I do not want to switch my profession from engineering to IT. I am not business minded also. In the end I want to ask my fellow Canadian desi, how many success stories have u heard for people with Electrical Engineering degree? I would really appreciate any feedback.
Confused ~~

Deal With Reality or Reality Will Deal With You
There are thousands of success storeis. Not just for Elec engineers but mechnical, IT, Automotive name it. Take a drive down any higway adn look on both sides. All of these building have engineers in them
What I am saying change focus. Appply to medical equipment companiess, harware companies, design companies as an elec engineers. Also try to aply to companies with less than 50 people.
If you do not know how to find the databases of these companies and apply to them then use companies like http://www.weapplyforyou.com" rel="nofollow">LINK
Otherwise do not give up remember 1 % rule. For every 100 resume you send out you have 1 chance for a job and even in that you have 1 in 5 chances. But the good part is if you do the work then all you need is 1 job.....
