The logic behind sending the resume to >1000 employers and the probability of getting interviewed looks somewhat convincing.
But whats the probabilty of a new immigrant giving $300 (30%) upfront to WAFY(as your website says so) without knowing you or your credibility ???Its not the case of paying the money after getting the job as you have written!!
Does a new immigrant coming through all the hassles -right from giving extra money to their agents to.. giving money to the police for PCC to.. giving money to notary to.. giving money to air booking agents to.. giving money to taxi (charging more) ... so on and so forth.. - will believe somebody like you shedding extra $300 (around Rs.12000)without any credibility???
This is only a loud thought.I think you would have your answers ready for this type of querries right??

Dear Sir/Madam

I had no intention of starting a discussion group to answer peoples questions. I was just showing my frustation. I am of Indian Origin and had worked on it for 2 years to help people as I had helped a lot by using this techique.

I do want to answer the questions you have posed as I understand these are questions that you have. For any future qustions please email them to us directly.

i) We send the resumes within 3-5 days unless you have a custom need. It takes us longer working with people to re-write their resume. And yes we only do minimum 1000-1500 packages. Its the magic number. Frankly for IT we do over 1500+ as there is more cometition. I have listed catagories below as to how we mix some catagories.

ii) This 0.1 % rule really works this is to get jobs. One of the problems we see is that most people apply to the companies that they have heard of we not only apply to them ( probability of getting job there very low). We apply to the companies that support them, distributors and reps that work with them, the consulting companies, etc.. etc... Again people here respect the experience you have from India, Pakistan and specially from Middle East its just that you have to get the right companies that would appriciate that. Sometime it means applying to companies outside GTA. Like even Burlington, Kitchner or Newmarket. Again bottom line for us is to help you find the companies that would appriciate your experience and you well.

iii) Dimple this is not mass emailing it is with a custom cover letter where the clients name is in several places just like you would have when you write a cover letter. This is not a spam. That does not work. Employers do not even know we are applying as emails go through your own email address. Also we have to help people re-write most of their resumes. You would be surprised how bad the resumes are. Please remember if you fail we fail.

We also give one gurantee. If for any reason you still do not get anything in 6 months ( most companies keep your resume for 6 months) then I will re-do this at no cost to you. ( We have still never have had to do this ). We have a very good repor with all the people who have used us and they keep recommending their friends.

iv) Mr. pks I completely understand but we do have basic costs like faxing. Imagine the labour costs to do this work. I have 8 full time employees. People pay 3000 dollars to get lawyers to immigrate here ( and all they do is fill 1 form for you). We send out 1000-1500 resumes, fax several hundreds of them etc... to the right companies.

v) One thing that I want to point out is that we were really surpirsed at was that when we apply for people with experience they get a lot of responses because companies prefer people with experience and do not all like to pay agencise that charge them a lot.

That is why I had written this thread because I was frustrated by not being able to connect with immigrants as I know we can help them. People think we are a scam or something. There is NO SERVICE like this so we do need to keep explaining it. I do not want to use this forum to discuss what we do.

Anyway, your business may be legit and fine and if you are doing well with job seekers (other than immigrants), then great for you and your business.

However, if I am required to pay for a service, personally, I expect transparency in what you are doing. If I hear you say, "It works", but not willing to discuss how it works (as you seem to imply in your posting), then unfortunately you run the risk of being labelled as a scam.

And maybe that's the reason you are not able to connect with immigrants.

I am sorry I had no intentions of saying that I do not want to answer questions about the service, that is what we do. Its a unique concept based on the 0.1 % probability and we succeed wtih it. Its important people understand what we can do for immigrants.

What I had intended to say was that I was just frustrated because I could not help the people who I had throught needed access to the Canadian market most. Most people who come here have familites and experience but are unable to get access to thousands of companies. Experienced people who come to this country with dreams but cannot get access to the job market because the agencies cannot help them and the Monsters and the workopolis has not worked for them.

I understand Weapplyforyou.com is a very unique concept and there is none like it that I know of. Its come from me being in the business development field for many large companies over 15 years and always with the grace of god being on the winning side.

Please feel free to ask as many questions and we will address them. Also feel free to email us at contact with as many questions or advice.

Again what we do is send custom cover letters and your resumes to the industry of your choice. We are doing some seminars at UFT and Ryerson tomorow and will be presenting to 50 people next week.

But you still have not addressed the basic points asked.
How can you send all the resumes using the applicants mail ID.? or will it be that you will give us 1500 names of companies with their e-mail and fax number and we have to apply using the resume which you will correct/ revise for us.
in that case, we can always get the business directory book and mail it ourselves (just change the senders name and e-mail address each time).
how do you access 1500 companies HR's e-mail address. do you have insiders in all these 1500 companies who will give out the recruiting person's e-mail ID. or will you be passing the addresses found in the business directory book to us?
still your concept is not clear.

Sidenote 1 :I have gone through this Gentleman's website and it is pretty vauge. No address, no Telephone number. Is this co. registered with Canada? or is it registered with bermuda? and i donot know how this Gentleman is going to get $700 when the applicant gets his job or is this based on his 0.1% probability theory ( .1% of all applicants who get a job will give him $700)
Sidenote 2 : There used to be another tamilian gentleman who did something like this. He was an engineer from REC and he did PEO exam. What he did was to give free seminars in HRDC/Ryerson/UFT to students regarding PEO exam, get their e-mail addresses and them mail to them individually that he will help them prepare PEO exam for a fee. He also had a website. He also used to infiltrate into public forums and advertise his service. I am sure that with his 0.1% probability theory he would have swindles some gullibe immigrants who are desperate thinking that if they do PEO exams they can get good jobs...
