Dear Friends,
As in last years, this year again I got my Income Tax filed throgh a professional, associated with a well known group. But this year, out of curousity, I checked whole thing agian after he did; and believe me, found more than many mistakes. With all MY callculations I went back to him and refund for me and my wife went up to $5790 from $4810 originally prepared by him with the same data. He prepared some 'T1 - adjusments' and gave me to sign and mailing to tax department.
My point is what if I had not checked? What are his moral and professional responsibilties? Is he responsible for any thing, atleast the hefty fee I paid?
I also plan to check all our previeous years returns now.
