In Surrey, I haven't found any. Trust me the restaurants are pale in comparison here. I miss Bombay Bhel, Nirvana, Eddie Wok, Royal Jasmine etc etc etc.

Because the Indians in BC are mostly Punjabi's , especially in Surrey.

But Indians in GTA they are more mixed , from pretty much all states..Gujjus , Marathi , Tamils, Mallus, Punjabis ..you name it ..they are all here.

Hence so many Gujju , south Indian etc restaurants in GTA ..and not just North Indian mostly Mughlai restaurants like in BC.

There is only this much Punjabi food you can eat ..you need variety.

I think Pav Bhajji is mostly a Mumbai tradition ..and also Vada Pav ..so not a Gujju food per se..but its probably spread all over in Maharashtra and gujarat by now.

There are after all 30 Lakh Gujjus in Mumbai , out of 1.8 crore Mumbai population. Largest Non Maharashtrian community in Mumbai is Gujjus .

The one in Scarborough is Govardhan Thal BUT I personally don't even like to enter the restaurant, forget about the food. This guy, Tushar Shah used Dabeli masala in Pav bhaji this year when they sponsored the food during Atul Purohit's garba in International center... I felt like I am eating dabeli gravy.

Its near dundas fruits and vegetables in a mall called 'Newin centre' this mall has an international food court, with 1 south Indian restuarant (awesome dosa's) and 1 guju restaurant.

As far as i understand, BL is looking for a restaurant where they do not serve non-veg items at all, in addition to Gujarati food.
