In our quest for Gujarati food, we found this place 'Gujarati Foods Amish sweets and catering' in Brampton. It has excellant Gujarati food.
The place is difficult to find out as it is on the corner backside of the shopping centre.(905) 457-8333
Albion and hwy 27 name of that rest is
EXOTIC INDIAN CUSINE
I found this restaurant in brampton ,Canada . Its called taste of gujarat.

Try Govardhan Thal , 2 locations in Toronto.
Very nice Thali and All You Can Eat buffet there.
Price is also very reasonable
Had tried Govardhan Thal 2 years back in Etobicoke ... Food was cold , the restaurant was not well heated ( and we had to wear our jackets ) .... and the rotis were finished ... They informed that they did not cook at this location and the food was brought from Scarborough location.
After a couple of disappointing experiences , we started calling this place 'Gobar Dhan Thal '
Taste of Gujarat was good but have heard that it is closed now.... Sayona foods used to serve weekend buffet but Iguess it is also not continuing anymore ....
Never visited but heard ( or read on the forum itself perhaps) that Exotic Cusine @ 1850 Albion Rd is quite pricey ...It is in the same place as Samosa & Sweet Factory and I have never seen lots of card parked there .
Never tried Amish Catering as one of the posters has suggested .

Fido.
Govardhan thal is indeed gobardhan thal. I made the mistake to going there
Amish sweets is very good but its a factory so you will have to take out and it dosent stay open late in the night.
When we go to amish we get the following
1) Mango pickle
2) Theplas
3) Srikhand
4) Vadas
5) Undhyu
6) Dhokla
You cannot beat the taste of these items
PS: If you are going to Amish also stop by golumbia video on your way (on Kennedy). They have 1000's of movies all sorted by Original, Watchable and Theather print.
DVD's are 1$ and if you go Mon-Thu you get 8 DVD's for 5 and Fri-Sun you get 7 DVD'd for 5$ so they are really cheap. We actually throw away the DVD's after watching then as they started to pile up.

Live and Let Live
There is so much more choice in GTA than in BC. There are gujju restaurants. You can get pau bhaji nearly everywhere. There is a guju store for sweets, samosas, dhokla etc. It is white gold in oakville. Also I know there is a gujju place in brampton but cant remember the name.
In Surrey, I haven't found any. Trust me the restaurants are pale in comparison here. I miss Bombay Bhel, Nirvana, Eddie Wok, Royal Jasmine etc etc etc.
