Happy Hi!
I have some interesting information for you. My friends wife had returned from Canda after some time of landing. But she was called to come and collect her card. She didnt go on that date. She has now been given another date to come and collect her card. Her son had stayed back but he wasn't given her card.
Happy-When are you planning to visit? Next month or later. I'll have some more 1st hand infor by 1.12.03

Do U mean to say that no further processing is required for PR card except that is done at airport at arrival???

- THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF PEOPLE WHO WILL GET PR CARD. FIRST TYPE IS PEOPLE LANDING NOW. THEY GET THEIR PR CARD MAILED TO THEM AT THE ADDRESS THEY PROVIDE UPON LANDING OR THEREAFTER.
SECOND TYPE IS PEOPLE WHO HAVE LANDED BEFORE THE NEW LAW CAME INTO EFFECT. THESE PEOPLE HAVE TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION IN CANADA. THEY GET A LETTER SAYING 'COME AND PICK UP IN PERSON ON A SPECIFIC DATE'. IF THEY CAN'T MAKE IT, THEY HAVE 180 DAYS TO PHONE AND SCHEDULE ANOTHER DATE. IF THEY FAIL TO DO THIS, THAY HAVE TO APPLY AGAIN

Also, tell us clearly that when PR card is ready do they post the card itself to the address provided or they send the letter say that PR card is ready and collect it from CIC office???
- I HOPE THE ABOVE IS CLEAR ENOUGH [THIS TIME]

I want to ask when PR card is rady do the individual has to be presnet in Canada to collect it or it can be collected by the friends etc???

Thanks friends for the information,

Friends I have an urgent question, Kindly reply it promptly as I will be boarding the plane day after tommorow.

Is the time to get PR card to get a PR card is same across the whole of Ontario???

I want to specifically know that if on arrival I give my address at Toronoto or Cambridge, At which of these palces will I get PR card earlier??

Actually, after landing in Canada I want to come back to India immidiately for two-three months for personal family reasons. So, I want to spend only two three weeks In Canada for geting the PR card. So Kindly suggest me should I give the address of Toronto or of Cambridge???

I require this information immidiately.

the processing time and delivery is the same everywhere in Ontario.
