Hi,
I have received a letter from Canadian Consulate asking me to submit the IELTS test score.I have to submit that in 120 days.
How should I prepare for that ?..Is there any book/course material to prepare for that exam ?..what kind of test they take and what Score I need to get to be considered as proficient in English.
And Does that letter mean all other documents are ok and they will process the application once I submit my score or they can ask for other documents as well once I submit the score?

You have to appear in the General module of the IELTS for Canadian immigration purpose. I suggest you visit the official IELTS website http://www.ielts.org" rel="nofollow">LINK and read their information handbook to get an idea about the exam.
I used 2 books to study for IELTS
1) Cambridge IELTS Edition 3
2)IELTS Testbuilder by Sam McCarter and Judith Ash
You should definately study the Cambridge IELTS book. There are 4 practice exams in each book. Take as many exams as you possible can. This will help you get used to the format of the exam. You should develop your own strategy to handle each section. Managing time is a very important aspect of the exam.
If you spend some time and practice I think it will be easy to get the minimum score of 7 in each section to get the max points for english proficiency.
And Do I need to take the test for Academic or General modules ??
And alos let me know if asking for IELTS means that rest of my documents are ok and they just need my IELTS score to decide on interview/medical ??

Rahul !
