If you really want to gamble , I have an Idea dude.... Take both exams IELTS and CELPIP and Try your luck
IELTS dates are easily avaiblabe but it's tough to get date for CELPIP (Especially in Ontario) .
http://www.ares.ubc.ca/CELPIP/
This way you will have two chances within 120 days .....Offcourse it will cost you couple of hundred bucks more though ....
GOOD LUCK BUDDY
indian guy let me first evaluate ur points, and i am strict on evaluating as visa officer will:-
you get
1)20pts for education
2) 15 for work ex (as the work ex during co op or college training is not counted towards it, and 2yrs of part time (leaving aside co-op and other trainings of course) is counted 1 yr full time. this way u will only get 15pts of that 1yr.
3) english you never know how much the oficer will give u unless and untill u have given IELTS. and beleive me they will not give u more then 10 pts if u don't submit IELTS proof. so give IELTS and then the picture will be more clear for language points.
4)u said u have 1yr post graduate diploma, so no question of 5 pts from this side. yes you can get 5pts from ur wife Masters degree in june 2006, conditioned that the officer had not started initial assesment of ur case. if they did they will not give u further 5 pts for ur wife masters degree.
5) and yes if u had worked here full time for atleasr 1 yr then u will get 5 pts.
5) 10 for age, I am assuaming you are between 21-49.
so ur total is 65 pts if u don't give IELTS.
and u can imporve on it, by giving IELTS and submiting the result to them.
best of luck, and be strict while giving yourself points. otherwise u might fool urself by calculating wrong once and then cursing the visa officer.
thanks

Hi,
Can anybody advise me on the photographs instructions for the IELTS form. I have to fill in the application and though this may sound dumb I am quite confused.
the instructions say to have the photo stamped and dated by the photograph shop where it is taken and the second to be stamped at the back.
Will the stamp not rub off if it on the face of the photo.
advise if m understanding this right or if i have to stamp them both at the back
Sonu
The stamp will go in the back of photos.
I didnt have to bother about the photographer's stamp because the photographer already stamped the photos... And hope yours will do the same.
