I`m planning to move to Toronto with my family(wife and 2 children), as a PR from Delhi(India) by last week of July,05.I`m in the process of finalising the air tickets. Can anyone suggest which airline is best from Delhi to Toronto? Out of my research Austrian Air is cheapest in fare, but there is a halt of 5 hours at Vayana.Other airlines are Air India and Air Canada, but the fare is high in compare to Austrian Air.
Check out Lufthansa. I came via Lufthansa from Bombay with a 5 hour break at Frankfurt. But that had the most economical rates airport tax. My agent in Bombay parted with some of his discount, hence this rate.

Austrian Air is offering Rs.20000 + 4000 airport tax from Delhi, which is cheaper than Lufthansa.

What is the meaning of 5 hour break/halt ?What all formalities we have to do during the break, related with baggage, checkin ,mobility etc. Please advise.
I flew Austrian Air in the month of April '05. The route is Delhi>Vienna>Toronto @ 25,000 inclusive of all taxes. I landed in TO half hour before the scheduled arrival time. Service is good, but Vienna airport is small with not many facilities.
Thanx

That's quite cheap!!! But check with someone who has flown recently about the service. Not that I have heard anything negative, but such low fares always bother me.

You do not have to do anything about your luggage. You can check-in for both the sectors at Delhi. Mobility - what does that mean. If you mean going out of the airport, you cannot, unless you have a valid visa for Austria. Otherwise you are free to move around in the transit area. Enjoy the hospitality of the airport!!!

Which many facilities are missing? Do we require the same during our halt at the airport or we may comfortable without such facilities which are not at the Vienna airport? Based on your experience which was good,I`m finalising the Austrian Air.Please advice.
Thanx
