Hi Guys,
Let me first tell you my background..
l came in canada on student visa in jan 06 for one year PG course.
l got one year post grad permit after finishing course in dec 06 (got work permit till dec 07)
l filed my PR in sep 07 and my file started procecssing from nov 07 from Buffalo, USA.
l went to usa in oct 07 on h1b visa.
ln march 08 i got married, so i added my spouse name in file. l was in india from mid feb 08 till may 08.
After that i came to usa. My medical got done in oct 08 in usa and my wifes medical was done in india in nov 08.
l came back to india in nov 08 end.
l havent submitted my FBI certificate as they (CIC) dint asked me to submit it yet.
(My frd was asked to submit his FBI certi along with his medical and ROLF, he has same case as mine just the diff is he is not married yet )
1.. Should i send my FBI certi to CIC without them asking me ...
2.. How long will it take to get my PPR passport req. (as i have heard after medical it just takes 6-8 weeks for PPR)
3.. l am in india currently on vacation from my h1b employer since nov 08, should i go back to usa and get canadian visitor visa from usA
4.. What is exact procedure of CIC i mean to say as in which order they do procedure like .... for example as below
a. they give file number after assessing the file.
b. then they ask for req docs if they feel so
c. then they do medical exam ( will they do med first and then background check/ or will they do background check first and then medical)
so should i assume that my file is being delayed coz of background check as i havent submitted FBI certi yet (as they dint asked me to submit it to them yet) ....and if it is so , should i send them FBI certi without their concern as in without them asking me.
NOTE : my status in e-cas (online case status) says \"ln process\"
so in short.
1. processing date nov 07
2. medical done : mine : oct 08
wifes : nov 08
still waiting for PPR....
Any help will be highly appreciated.
1) You know that you have been living there in the USA on H1B Visa for the past six months or longer. You also know that you will have to obtain a Police clearance. So why wait?
2) Your time frame is correct, but your Police clearance is not done yet and so add another six months or so to it. (You also know that it is coming in the mail too.)
3) Three months is a long vacation and I don't know what kind of employment you are having if the breaks exceed the employment time. At this stage in the game, they might not issue you a Canadian Visa. That does not mean that you cannot try.
4) You know the process good. So, wait to hear from them. They are the ones who pull the strings. You do as per their requirements.
You seem to have a very good employer there in the USA. Hang in there. Wait for the instructions from the CIC in Buffalo. When you complete the process and want to cross the border, come down and complete it. But if your job is still there in the USA, stay there till a lot of the problems facing us here blows over. You have three good years after the crossing to decide which side of the bread is buttered.
IF The next letter is yours, we call it spamming, when you post the same materials twice for some one to respond on this board.
Hope this helps you a little.
Freddie.
Hey Freddie
Thanks for y0ur reply...
l know i have to take out FBI certi....and i already have FBI certi with me...
what i meant to ask is should i send that certi to CIC....as they havent yet asked that from me....
My frd got its req of FBI with his medical itself....
So should i send CIC my FBI certi ...???
"2) Your time frame is correct, but your Police clearance is not done yet and so add another six months or so to it. (You also know that it is coming in the mail too.)" l hope it doesnt take so long...l wish it could come earlier....
l dont have a good employer in usa, its just that there are no jobs (projects) available in there hence they have sent me on vacation (its kinda lay off but they gave a legal name to it - Vacation )
Thanks...\
any other inputs pls ?
