Thanks for your comments. Wonderful Ideas!! I would like to do what you are suggesting. However we are not a GIS, Mapping site and we donot have a huge database of co-ordinates (latitude and longitudes) and also the intelligent road networks.

I am looking for different sources where I can find the information I wanted. I think it is possible to show the locations of things. I only need the coordinates.

If you have ever visited - http://www.geocoder.us gives us exact location of an address. We do not have any comparable site in Canada. If you guys knows any please let me know.

I agree GG, it is a mammoth task. As an alternate, can we have a list of restaurants (Indian/Vagaterian) appear on the RH panel as soon as we click for the map of a city?

Local CDs can contribute with names and addresses with opnions if possible!!

When I develope a tool, I am not only thinking about Restaurants only - we have tons of stuff on the site - it will be applicable to all of them. Once you go to a perticular section, there will be an accompanying map that can locate the search result.

Restaurants, Mandirs, Grocery Stores, Employment Agencies etc. could be the most demanding things though.

I located few sources where I can get the geometric data. I am working on it now. The most difficult task is the programming. It takes lot of my time. Not sure when can I implement it.
