Dear Friends,
On this forum, I have read a lot about the job problem in Canada. I would be interested to know about the labor jobs. What all jobs are considered under the category of 'labor jobs'?
My point of view is 'A job is a job' .. It is sometimes the social culture or the fabric of the society wants to label certain jobs as dirty or for low income group people. I know some may not agree, it’s up to them. I am a telecom professional and I do have seen and worked in various countries and that has given me this point of view over the years
I do understand there is a problem in the strategy of Canada for recognizing the talents of the people landing there as immigrant and also I feel sometime the people do not have the talent of selling their skills according to the need of the hour or place or circumstances, which not only in Canada, can be anywhere in the world they go. Or perhaps people do not add required value/education to their talents to meet the requirements of the circumstances, due to whatsoever reasons.
Well, any way, I would be glad to know if you friends can share the following queries
a) Which all jobs are so called Labor jobs and for each job what is the pay per hour (Approx)
b) How much tax they may end up paying from such income
c) Max of what amount one can earn by doing so called labor job.
Answer to these will help me in making up my mind for the demand of the time when I land and if required I can add any skills as well to be prepared to do those job as well if I have to.

Non illigitamus carborundum
building cleaner, janitor, warehouse jobs, etc. are all labour jobs.
Security jobs are easier comparitively & might pay more.
Plumber, electrician, construction worker, truck drivers, etc. are labour jobs which will pay much higher than other good jobs as well. There is a lot of demand for these professions in Canada. Whether one can get a job immediately in these professions without Canadian experience is another matter. I heard plumbers charge $75 per hour & you have to take appointment.
One can get jobs immediately in customer service, security, factories, call-centres, etc.
Thanks & regards.
Rajan.
