Here is the situation. When we came we got the long landing papers (light pink colour). Then we have to get the PR card. Now I have the canadian passport. Can't remember if I got the long landing paper back. I remember getting it stamped as it is not valid anymore. Now I cant find it. Do they give back the landing papers after getting passport/PR card?
If I cant find the landing papers, should I contact CIC?

If you say you've already a Canadian Passport which means you're a Citizen, why do you need the landing paper.

For OCI. It requires the original landing papers to be shown. I do have a PIO, still they need to see the original landing papers.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that for the OCI they need that. Now I'll have to dig out my loooooong paper.

no wonder India Government files move so slow...this is one thing they should learn from NA.

I just checked and the stamp on passport (when u enter the first time) should be ok if u have misplaced the landing papers.
Whew....sigh of relief!
