I got a US Visitor Visa quite soon after landing in Canada. You just have to tell the actual reason for going there which I did and got the Visa.

As for parents coming here, the web site is specific, if you are not a landed immigrant, you have to obtain the visa from the post nearest from where your passport has been issued.

In your instant case i.e from whichever city in India nearest to where your passport of your parents was issued.

Rajiv is right. If u have a visitor visa to canada, then u have to get visitor visa for USA from your own country.

Even if u r a landed immigrant, again its the discretion of the visa officer. Rajiv was lucky.

Your parents should apply for US visa in India. Most likely they will not be entertained in Canada.

Once they have Canada Visa, they can book an appointment with US Embassy and tell their real intentions. It should not be a problem. Just they should have their file complete.
