Yes, you can marry her in Canada and then can file for her PR as well then she wont have to leave Canada until the decision on her PR application is made.
But yes be prepared to give Immi officers enough reasons with proofs that ur marriage is a geniune one and not a fake.
Are you sure about this? If she has a visitor visa for 6 months, and if her PR application is filed in canada after she comes to canada, if she doesn't get PR status by the time her vistor visa expires, what should she do?
She can stay here on VISITOR VISA EXTENSION.But she cant cross the border.Or else she has to cross the border and get her visitor visa renewed(if her visitor visa also gets expired) which is a tough one.On feb18th 2005 Canadian Govt has declared that "if a person gets married to a canadian citizen/PR he/she is legally entitled to stay here in canada. As far as i know the immigration officials shld give her 6 months extension if she/he produces necessary documents to the officer. You canread this news in http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK in the news column. Why dont you consult a lawyer and take his opinion. He might charge a bit high but they'll give you lots of info and they know lots of stuff.
Another important thing is that if you apply for her PR in CANADA...First phase it self is taking 9-10 months(I came to know ant it from CIC call centre).First stage states whether you are eligible to sponsor her or not and they also see genuinity in the marriage...This is the current timeline......you are telling that u have PR till feb 2007 if u caluculate then, kindly consult a lawyer sir i think he can help you....thanku
Many sincere thanks for your help.
