I got immigration for my family in Canada in January 2006 and hope to enter in Toronto by December of this year. I have two kid. One is 1 yr 3 month and other is only 6 yrs. I am a professional doctor in my country. My mother is still alive and running 57 yrs. My husband is a Chemist. We are too busy at our work. My mother look after my kid right now.

We are totally helpless if she is not along with us. My question is -

1. Is it possible to sponser my mother right now ?
2. Is it possible to earn visit visa ?
3. I have sufficient fund to look after my mother at
Canada.

Would request to forum members to help/ advise me regarding above topic.

Puna:

1) You need to apply to sponsor your mother once you are in Canada (and have an specific income level).
2) Your mother can apply for a visitors Visa on her own behalf. She will have to demonstrate that she plans to return to India. She will have to show ties to India. If she cannot Immigration may not grant the visa..believing she will stay beyond her 6 months.

A question for you. Why do you wish to move to Canada? Many doctors report it is nearly impossible to re-enter their field here. Same with Chemists. Are you prepared to work in entry level work (though its not assumed you have to..but what if you do).
