Hi,
I am Canadian PR and living in Canada for past 2.5 years. I am only child of my parents.
My father deceased due to liver-failure in January 2008 in India. My parents were living in India. My family went to India in January and I wanted to apply my mother’s visitor visa at that time, but my mother was not mentally prepared to come to Canada so soon.
Now, I have self applied my mother’s sponsorship application in early March. My question is how difficult it would be for her to get the visitor visa to come to Canada, when her sponsorship application is pending (which may take several years).
Any suggestion/help would be helpful.
Thank You.

Hi,
When you file a second application for a Visitor's Visa, please make sure that the answers to the questions will mirror the one provided in the appropriate columns. So, cross check them and make sure it does not contradict your first filing, but supplements it.
The chances of obtaining a visitor's visa will depend upon the age and the hurdles and the hoops that she will have to jump and how well you have prepared her for all of these from this long a distance.
From what I gather from the websites, the PR applications might get processed in around 30 months or less.
Good luck.
Freddie.
