I had applied for my parents Canadian Immigration in May 2003 and last year they received the medical from Canadian Embassy in New Delhi. They provided the Embassy with the medicals and also the passports. Its been 8 months no reply was received.
Last week my Father died of a heart attack. He was not admitted in a hospital , no ailment at all, all of a sudden he has a Gas problem and within no time in seconds he passed away.
My father was a main applicant in the application that I filed for my parents and now he is dead. My mother is all alone and I need to take her with me to Canada .
I will be sending the Canadian government - the Death Certificate of my father. My questions are:-
1.> What do you think can happen to my mothers application ? will the Canadian Embassy reject the application as the main applicant is now dead.
2.> Will they provide her with the Visa or atleast the process will be speed up ?
3.> What can happen in this kind of situation ?
Please advice.

Sorry about your father. I hope you are able to take care of your mother as you want to.
Sorry to hear about your father. You can call CIC to get more information.
If they don't help you, try to contact your MP in your area, MP will able to help you in this manner.
They have also the authority to expadiate your case.
They will process the visa for your mom. This happened to a friend, absolute same situation. As folks have suggested, contact CIC and they'll guide you.
My condolences to you and mom.
