Hi Guys,
My parents situation is really weird. The Canadian embassy in New Delhi has got their passports along with their Medical papers and it has been more than 3 months and no reply has received yet.
What do we do ? Who do we contact ?
They got the letter saying that send your passports and the Medical too . No Interview !
But it has been more than 3 months and they have not contacted my parents in India.
What do you suggest. ?
Sue the CIC in Delhi.....they need to be taught a lesson for traumatizing seniors....holding a passport is a criminal offence....if we get several cases like this we can sue them in the international court...also inform the UN about Human Rights violation.
stop being so dramatic

if u dont take action they will ask u to do another medical bcos one year will lapse...the point is they dont want seniors to immigrate here and become a burden on the health system...i wud take up the challenge and query them legally
What does online status say?
If your parents are in New Delhi they can visit the embassy and ask about the status.
Otherwise fax them, giving a reponse FAX number.
With due respect to everybody on this thread, I would agree with Rohit69. One can not understand the pain and frustration unless he/she experiences it.
In our case, we have sponsored both my parents and my mom-in-law. My mom-in-law mailed her passport almost 3 months back and my parents mailed few days after that. My parents recd the VISA in 2 weeks and my mom-in-law has no answer as of yet. We have sent numerous enq to CHC N Delhi via email/fax....all unanswered so far.....
e-cas still shows the status as "In Process"
CHC N Delhi shows no accountability....they are so lethargic.....upon contacting the MP's off.....we were told that the delay may be coz of lot of pending visa stamping....and as such they give high importance to only those applicants whose medicals are abt to expire soon.......what a bunch of craps.....there should not have been any delay to begin with
However, saying that...I do agree that we won't think of suing CHC N Delhi.....unless offcourse her medicals expires......in any case I guess we don't have any legal ground to sue them as the letter they mail us to send in the passport clearly indicated, "this letter does not guarantee your visa"
We just have to wait and pray that the nightmare gets over soon.
