Trying to combine two posts as both relate to same incident.

I sometimes hate the way media manipulates the news or information to create artificial sympathy for the victim. IMHO, the main culprit is citypulse 24.

(1) Recent incident of child abduction - Everybody is blaming the lady who kidnapped the kid. Does anybody talks about the 61 year old guardian, who was stupid enough to rely on this stranger to take care of 4 year old while he/she checked the lottery numbers!!!! Who is that person? The media is absolutely silent on his/her foolishness

(2) Few weeks before, some weapons were confiscated from the house of a lady who runs a crusade against weapons. It turned out, her son was hiding arms in his home. OK - so you have one son killed, you are running crusade against guns, and your other son has illegal firearms in your house? how ironic it could be. And the only thing TV showed was the weeping lady!! Why would anybody be sympathetic with her? How much maturity or responsibility it shows on your part to have your son hiding arms in your house?

(3) Last year, there were reports about a guy being shot and killed. He was a father of 10 kids and was actively involved in community. But no one went into detail of stating that the 10 kids were from 3 different women and the guy himself had a past history of crime.

It is difficult to turn blind eye towards irresponsible media behaviour. But who cares!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you on this one.
CP 24 or any other media must be made accountable to the people/ viewers. I am not sure if this is their oversight or they tend to looks at it in a subtle way to express Canadian culture (which does not poke its nose on the private affairs of others)

Sidenote : Also 680 news. I heard it till today morning and they never expressed your side of the story.
Sidenote2 : The star has expressed this aspect of the story but in no way found fault in the 61 year old individual who left the kid in thecare of a passer by and went to get the Lotto tickets. IMO, these kind of people have to be jailed, incl. the mum who was irresponsible to leave the kid in the care of this trustworth individual. Looks like the kids dad is in USA and has not seem the kid almost after the birth of the Kid.
