If one requires Reiki treatment, one option is to get initiated to level 1. Then you can start healing yourself. It is slow, but at times very effective.
It is said to have originated from Lotus Sutra of Mahatma Budhha. It is same/similar healing power which was used by Jesus and Budhha in healing patients. Over ages saints have used this or similar power to heal patients through alternative therapy. Over last two thousand years, from India it went to China and from there to Japan to USA to India. There are a large number of masters in USA. Level 1 is lowest level, when you can start healing yourself. Level 4 is highest where, as a Reiki Master, you can start initiating others into this practice. Very early results in a large number of cases are:
a. Cure of insomnia.
b. Removal/reduction of tensions and worries.
c. Loss of friendship/association with people having a negative mind-set.

Another important aspect is that group reiki can be practised for remote healing too...I only heard of this..never practised or experienced it...I am a level 1 reiki too...

Yes you are right. Groups can do remote healing but so can an individual if he knows the symbols.

I'm a level 2 planning for level 3a & 3b sometime this year. I do practise distant healing too.
