What is this Reiki?
I saw from one of my professor's bio data (in india) that he was a certified Reiki master. Actually he tried to fail me at university and i got into a tiff with him.
Also it will benifit some of the CD members if they know what this Reiki actually means.

The word Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a Japanese kanji for universal life-force energy.
Reiki is a Japanese holistic, light-touch, energy-based modality. Working as a support mechanism to the body, Reiki re-establishes a normal energy flow of ki (life force energy) throughout the system, which in turn can enhance and accelerate the body's innate healing ability. Through a series of hand positions either directly on or just above the body, the energy worker allows for the flow of energy through their body. The client’s body then draws off the amount of energy that is required. The simplicity of a Reiki session may raise some skepticism, however, after experiencing it, many clients keep coming back for more of those relaxing feelings.

Is it as gud as yoga.? I know the two are different...some people have told me that reiki it really cures a lot of ailments...but havent been able to understand the concept...

It is different.
In Reiki, you lie on a table, and the Reiki Master will move their hands over you, working on your energy. Its very relaxing and invigorating at the same time.
Its also different than massage therapy.
My Reiki master was great. She had a dog that would sit inside the room (she did it out of her house) during the reiki treatment. Once it was over the dog would go and play. However during the treatment the dog would just sit and not move.
