hey people...mez comin in here after a very long time...lost my pswd for the earlier id...so got this one..... me in canada now 
and its fun to be in here... mez got loads of frnds in US so i wanted to know... if i ever wish to go and meet them how do i do that??
the link below says that i just need my PR card with me... is it right or am i missin some detail?? cuz me heard PR needed a visa too these days....

You need a US Visa to enter the USA with a PR card.
You can apply for a 10 year Visitor's visa to the USA at the nearest US Counsulate (which is in Toronto). They most probably would need you to be in a job for sufficient time before they issue you a visa.
Other option would be to go to Niagra falls and stay in Canada side of the gate while your friends from the USA would be on the USA side of the fence and you can talk and interact.

and i seem to dislike bushwa 
but for this 10 year visa u mentioned tk... cant a uiversity student status be enough? coz i wont be in a proper office job before another two years...
any suggestions for my present status?

if you are a university student and are attending university, you can try your luck. But it must be atleast 6 months -12 months after you start attending university. Before that you stand a good chance of being rejected. This is just my view. Other CD's can advise you better.

Welcome back MP. You now have to start again from being a Junior desi...
Anyway, it is not adviceable to apply for US visa immediately, unless you have visited US before on a non-immigrant visa. Even in such cases it is not a smart step to take. Your US friends can come over to Canada if they can, it is easier that way.
It is a general practise to wait atleast 1 year on PR until u apply for the US visa from Toronto, Even after that, its issuance is related to strong ties in Canada (job, residence, etc...)..similar to what you would need for visa from India, except, you need not have VERY strong bank balance from canada since the cost of trip is not much.
Enjoi yr intial days (honey moon) in canada and prepare for the initial struggle...god willing you will soon be well settled in canada. All the best.
